As applied to a debt or claim, it means simply due and unpaid at the time appointed by law or fixed by contract; as due and unpaid taxes or mortgage payments
@ delinquent child
An infant of not more than specified age who has violated criminal laws or engages in disobedient, indecent or immoral conduct, and is in need of treatment, rehabilitation, or supervision. In re Garner, 230 Pa.Super. 426, 326 A.2d 581, 584.
Defined by a state statute as: A child who
(a) violates any federal or state law, or municipal or local ordinance; or
(b) without just cause runs away from his parental home or other properly authorized and lawful place of abode; or
(c) is beyond the control of his parents, parent, guardian or other custodian; or
(d) has engaged in indecent or immoral conduct; or
(e) has been habitually truant or, while in school, has been continuously and overtly defiant of school rules and regulations; or
(f) has violated any lawful order of court.
